SCHAF had an outreach at the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) to coincide with their Executive Meeting at their Secretariat in Samonda Ibadan on Democracy Day.
Since the SCD issue touches women and children, women groups have a big role to play at the grassroots level.
The Programme, titled: Sickle Cell Burden, Our Approach to Help as Women, had in attendance 38 representatives of 13 Local Governments in Oyo State.
The Local Governments represented were: Oyo West, Afijio, Akinyele, Surulere, Oyo East, Ibadan North, Iddo, Iseyin, Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso South-West, Ibarapa North, Ibarapa Central, and Egbeda.
